About the Position
The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer. The
Senior/Intermediate Java Developer will be responsible for the most
critical parts of our solution.
As a proud member of the R&D team, the successful applicant
will be participating in all areas of R&D, such as requirement
analysis, technical risk analysis and prototyping, designing,
programming, and development testing. He/She will be also be working
with the product management and marketing team. It is expected that the
candidate's responsibilities will grow with the company.
A winning attitude is a must to succeed!
Objectives
• Develop and maintain the Tungle backend system.
• Work with the IT department to maximize system’s scalability, robustness and security.
Skills
• Must be pumped by web 2.0
• Proficiency in Java, OO principles.
• Solid experience and knowledge in J2EE or similar server side technologies.
• Experience in XML related technologies.
• Experience in Web service (SOA).
• Familiar with various design patterns and best design practices.
• Familiar with Internet protocols and concurrent computing principles.
• Experiences in JBoss, EJB3/Hibernate (an asset).
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems independently; quick learner and self-starter.
Education
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

| QA Analyst |  |
About the Position
This position is critical in testing and deploying a web 2.0 service that is reliable, secure and scalable. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Engineering and work closely with the members of the QA and R&D teams.
Objectives
• Documentation testing (online help, readme files, user documentation)
• Performance/stress testing
• Hardware compatibility testing
• Software compatibility testing
• Performance/scalability testing
• Regression testing
• Ensure that product defects are logged and closed in a timely manner
• Drive QA efficiency by automating tasks where possible
• Help create and maintain a high performance QA lab
• Collaborate with product management, development and support teams as needed to ensure Tungle users enjoy a consistently great experience
• Work in a deadline-driven environment
Skills
• An unhealthy love of crashing release candidates, finding all bugs and letting only squeaky clean software leave the premises
• Experience writing and maintaining test plans in conjunction with R&D
• Ability to quickly execute test plans and provide high quality feedback
• Strong knowledge of web-related technologies (HTML/CSS)
• Familiarity with popular web testing tools, such as Selenium or HtmlUnit
• Knowledge of XML-related technologies is an asset
• Familiarity with Javascript, Python and/or similar scripting languages (e.g., BASH) a plus
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, OS X, BSD)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An urgent focus on the customer
Education
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
